L'annonce de la mise à mort des jeux physiques PlayStation cache a priori un indice sur le lancement de la PlayStation 6. La future console de Sony ne sortira pas avant 2028.

Le 1er juillet 2026, Sony a annoncé mettre fin aux nouveaux jeux PlayStation sur disque dès 2028. Prix, occasion, rétrocompatibilité, prêt, connexion, sécurité : cette bascule vers le tout-numérique soulève bien plus de questions qu’elle n’apporte de réponses.

Une PS6 à plus de 1 000 euros aurait tout d’un mauvais calcul pour Sony. Alors que GTA 6 doit sortir le 19 novembre 2026 sur PS5 et Xbox Series, la prochaine PlayStation pourrait arriver trop chère, trop tôt, et sans vraie raison de convaincre le grand public de changer de machine.

C'est le coup de grâce de Sony dans la guerre des consoles. Par le biais d'un communiqué officiel signé Mary Yee (Vice-Présidente du Marketing chez SIE), PlayStation vient d'annoncer un partenariat historique avec Rockstar Games. L'objectif est clair : faire de la PlayStation 5 la vitrine absolue pour le lancement de GTA 6 le 19 novembre prochain.

The Singapore-based activist fund Effissimo Capital Management has quietly become Tamron’s top shareholder, surpassing longtime holder Sony Group Corporation:

According to EDINET filings and Japanese reports, Effissimo Capital Management has increased its stake to 17.38% (29,691,800 shares) as of late March 2026. Sony remains at 15.35% (25,038,000 shares, unchanged from the end of 2025). Tamron’s official IR page still shows the year-end figures, but large-shareholding reports confirm Effissimo has crossed ahead:

Effissimo has steadily built its position over the past year (from ~10.8% in late 2025), filing multiple increases. Here is the recent Effissimo accumulation path (approximate, from filings):

• ~10.76–10.87% (end of 2025)
• 13–14% range (late 2025/early 2026)
• 15.30% → 16.34% (March 2026 filings)
• 17.38% (April 2026 filing)

Effissimo is a Singapore-based activist investor known for its stakes in Japanese companies such as Nissan and Toshiba. Sony’s stake has remained static at the year-end figure. Tamron executed a 4-for-1 stock split in July 2025, but the percentages above reflect the current post-split reality in recent reports.

Sony registered a new digital camera with the Indonesian certification body POSTEL, but the entry was later removed. The new WW308784 will be made in China (not Thailand), and DCLife speculates it could be a new RX or APS-C model becuase it was registered as “Digital Camera” rather than “Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera.”

Exactly 20 years ago today, on June 5, 2006, Sony announced the Alpha 100, the camera that launched the Sony Alpha system. What began as an outsider’s entry into the DSLR market, built on the Konica Minolta A-mount platform acquired by Sony, has evolved into one of the most innovative and influential camera lines in the history of photography and videography.

Two decades later, Sony Alpha stands as a benchmark for hybrid photo/video performance, autofocus intelligence, resolution, and speed. From the groundbreaking in-body stabilization of 2006 to the global-shutter flagship of 2023 and the highest-resolution Alpha camera yet in 2026, the journey has left a significant mark on the industry.

The Early Years (2006–2012)

Sony entered the digital camera arena by acquiring Konica Minolta’s camera division, inheriting the A-mount lens ecosystem. The Alpha 100 (10.2MP APS-C CCD) introduced SteadyShot INSIDE in-body image stabilization- a major first for compatible lenses at the time, along with the BIONZ processor and an accessible price point for enthusiasts.
The system quickly expanded:
