The Internet and social media are full of reports from customers who ordered the new Air 3S drone directly from the DJI website, and now their shipments are being blocked/hated by US Customs. I already reported that the latest drone is not yet listed for sale in the US (Adorama | Amazon | B&H), and ordering it directly from China will not solve the issue:

Reuters confirmed the reports online:

The U.S. government is stopping imports of some DJI drones from entering the U.S., the Chinese drone maker told Reuters on Wednesday.
In a previously unreported letter seen by Reuters, DJI notified distributors that U.S. Customs and Border Protection is citing the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) in withholding some drones from being imported into the U.S. DJI,which sells more than half of all drones in the U.S., said no forced labor is involved at any stage of its manufacturing process. It told Reuters it was providing Customs with documentation verifying its compliance with UFLPA. (Reuters)

I already reported that the new DJI Air 3S drone is not listed for sale in the US because of government regulations:

"The DJI Air 3S drone may not be available in the United States due to the Countering CCP Drones Act, which aims to address concerns about data security and potential ties between DJI and the Chinese government"

Now, DJI has posted this on their website:

"A customs-related misunderstanding is currently affecting DJI's ability to import select drones into the United States. This appears to be part of a broader initiative by the Department of Homeland Security to scrutinize the origins of products, particularly in the case of Chinese made drones.
...
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has cited the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), as the reason for the current holdups. This assertion made against DJI, however, is entirely unfounded and categorically false. There is no reason for CBP to be detaining DJI’s drones. (DJI)"

I do not think this is a misunderstanding. I think this is just the beginning of DJI drones being banned in the US.

The rumored DJI Air 3S drone is expected to come with a new DJI RCTrack that can follow a moving vehicle or cyclist above 50km/h. The new DJI RCTrack is also expected to be compatible with the Mini4Pro drone in the future. Here are some leaked pictures of the new device:

The DJI Air3S drone is rumored to come with a 1" CMOS sensor at 24mm and a 1/1.3" at 70mm. ISO ratings have also improved from 6,000 to 12,800 (see the leaked specifications at the bottom of this post). The DJI Air3S drone is also rumored to have LiDAR on the front for improved safety. There is a new teaser for a potential October 15 announcement:

The upcoming DJI Mavic 4 drone imaging module was spotted with two mirrorless cameras attached on each side (Sony A7IV & Panasonic S5II?) - the drone camera is on top; on the bottom, you can see the camera of the current DJI Mavic 3 Pro model. The upcoming DJI Mavic 4 is expected to have a bigger battery.

DJI Air 3s

The DJI Air 3S drone is rumored to be announced in October. The price is expected to be €1,159 (€1,359 for the fly more combo):
