Thypoch released a new set of Simera-C T1.5 prime lenses for Leica M-mount

Thypoch released a new set of Simera-C T1.5 prime lenses for Leica M-mount (Thypoch lenses are also sold at AdoramaAmazon, and B&H Photo):

Thypoch Simera-C T1.5 Primes Open all Possibilities with the M-Mount versions Released.

Following the release of Simera-C T1.5 21mm & 28mm & 35mm & 50mm & 75mm, Thypoch announces the addition of M-mount versions to broaden the compatibility.

The M-mount Simera-C T1.5 maintains the design and aesthetics of the E-mount version but even 20-30 grams lighter, with the 50mm weighing just 353g. These lenses are favored by filmmakers for their versatility and image look, and M mount has been anticipated by most of the potential users because of its wide adaptability.

The M-mount cine lenses rival PL-mount in adaptability, fitting almost all mirrorless cameras (E, RF, Z, L, X mounts) with adapters. They could also be mounted (positive lock) on the ARRI Alexa camera and Sony Venice system by a third party’s M mount kit (Thypoch here recommends XPIMAGE’s Arri M mount for smoothly compatible use). They ensure seamless integration from mirrorless video cameras to high-end cinema setups like DJI Ronin 4D, Sony Venice, Alexa 35, Alexa mini LF, Alexa mini and Amira.

The key features of Simera-C series:

  1. 5 focal lengths of 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm.
  2. Consistent T1.5 aperture with 16 iris blades.
  3. Weighing 353-491g, ideal for car rigs, handheld, and gimbal shots.
  4. Available in M/E mounts, highly compatible with mirrorless and cinema cameras.
  5. Minimal chromatic aberration and sharp resolution.
  6. Dual focus scales in Metric and Imperial.
  7. Easy to carry on the go with a supplied hard case.

The Simera-C Look:

Simera-C delivers a very neutral look with a tint of softness, smooth bokeh and natural edge fall-off for exceptional dimensionality in storytelling, capturing a raw aesthetic with minimal chromatic aberration and human-eye-like field curvature. Flare is subtly controlled to maintain highlight detail without compromising the image’s authenticity.

The floating element design of the Simera-C series allows for a closer minimum focusing distance than most modified cine-mod rangefinder lenses, providing almost identical quality at close focus and infinity, greater texture and detail in close-ups and enhancing creative flexibility.

Price and Availability:

  • M-Mount single lens: 959 USD / 869 EUR
  • M-mount 5-lens set: 4319 USD / 3919 EUR
  • E-Mount single lens: 879 USD / 799 EUR
