Viltrox to announce three more LAB lenses this year

After the 135mm f/1.8, Viltrox is rumored to announce three more LAB lenses this year:

  • Viltrox 35mm f/1.2 LAB: expected at the NAB show in April
  • Viltrox 50mm f/1.2 LAB expected after NAB show in April
  • Viltrox 80mm f/1.2 LAB expected after NAB show in April


The new lenses are expected to be available for Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, and Sony E mount.

The details:

  • Autofocus - Powered by Lidar Technology: LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a specialized autofocus technology that utilizes lasers to establish a subject’s distance. It is recognized for its ability to perform under low-light scenarios and its exceptional focusing capabilities. This powerful system, used by mobile phones and drones, arrives as a major upgrade for the lightweight camera, proving that its size does not compromise its performance.
  • Auto Exposure: Auto Exposure, much like Auto Mode, provides your camera with complete control over the aspects of an exposure. This feature is especially useful when you’re focused on the scene and surroundings, ensuring you always capture those critical shots.
  • Flash or No-Flash Options:  A downside of many low-budget point-and-shoot cameras is the inability to turn off the flash, limiting your photo options depending on the lighting situation.
