Parce que parfois, désactiver les notifications d'une application ce n'est pas possible : Je teste en ce moment NotiFilter.

C'est pas super intuitif à configurer, mais ça marche assez bien et permet de "dismiss" les notifications que vous ne voulez plus voir. (Par exemple sur mon téléphone, la notif qui me prévient que le chargement s'arrêtera à 80% de batterie, qui s'affiche à *chaque* fois que je recharge.)

Le youtubeur PhoneBuff s'est amusé à comparer la consommation énergétique d'un iPhone 17 Pro Max en 5G et en Wi-Fi. Le résultat est sans appel : pour préserver la santé de votre appareil, privilégiez le Wi-Fi.

Après des semaines de rumeurs, pour ne pas dire des mois, Samsung officialise enfin la date de présentation de ses nouveaux téléphones haut de gamme. Les Galaxy S26, S26+ et S26 Ultra seront dévoilés le 25 février depuis San Francisco.

18 ans après la sortie d'Android (basé sur Linux), Google se décide à nous rendre le terminal.

Après des années de rumeurs insistantes sur un « Tesla Phone », Reuters a suggéré le 5 février qu'Elon Musk et SpaceX préparaient bel et bien un « Starlink Phone » indépendant des opérateurs classiques. Une rumeur immédiatement débattue par Elon Musk… et qui n'aurait pas grand sens techniquement.

Réservé aux smartphones de la gamme Pixel 10, le support d'AirDrop dans Quick Share, le service de Google pour se transférer des fichiers, sera étendu à d'autres appareils courant 2026. L'entreprise a confirmé la nouvelle à plusieurs journalistes.

Google's Quick Share-AirDrop interoperability, which has been exclusive to the Pixel 10 series since its surprise launch last year, is headed to a much broader set of Android devices in 2026. Eric Kay, Google's Vice President of Engineering for the Android platform, confirmed the expansion during a press briefing at the company's Taipei office, saying Google is "working with our partners to expand it into the rest of the ecosystem" and that announcements are coming "very soon." Nothing is the only OEM to have publicly confirmed it's working on support, though Qualcomm has also hinted at enabling the feature on Snapdragon-powered phones.

Google's much-anticipated plan to merge Android and ChromeOS into a single operating system called Aluminium is shaping up to be a drawn-out, complicated transition that could leave existing Chromebook users behind, according to previously unreported court documents in the Google search antitrust case. The new OS won't be compatible with all existing Chromebook hardware, and Google will be forced to maintain ChromeOS through at least 2033 to honor its 10-year support commitment to current users -- meaning two parallel operating systems running for years. The timeline itself is messier than Google has let on publicly, the filings suggest. Sameer Samat, Google's head of Android, called the merger "something we're super excited about for next year" last September, but court filings describe the "fastest path" to market as offering Aluminium to "commercial trusted testers" in late 2026 before a full release in 2028. Enterprise and education customers -- the segments where Chromebooks currently dominate -- are slated for 2028 as well. Columbia computer science professor Jason Nieh, who interviewed Google engineers as a witness in the case, testified that Aluminium requires a heavier software stack and more powerful hardware to run.

Ayant eu des soucis avec la dernière version de Tusky (problème de scrolling dans les mentions), sur le conseil d'un internaute je suis passé à Pachli en tant que client fediverse sur Android.
Vraiment sympa cette appli. Elle marche très bien, et se débrouille mieux que Tusky pour suivre la timeline. (En particulier, contrairement à Tusky ou Moshidon, il n'y a pas de bouton à presser pour "rattraper" la timeline : Pachli le fait naturellement quand on scrolle.)
On peut même choisir la police d'affichage (Luciole, Atkinson Hyperlegible, etc.)

Plusieurs utilisateurs ont remarqué que YouTube avait commencé à bloquer la lecture en arrière-plan sur mobile via des navigateurs tiers. Un changement confirmé par Google, rapporte notamment The Verge le 3 février 2026.

Android smartphone maker Nothing won't release a Phone 4 this year, the company's founder and chief executive said, and that the 2025 Phone 3 will remain the brand's flagship device throughout 2026. "We're not just going to churn out a new flagship every year for the sake of it, we want every upgrade to feel significant," Carl Pei said in a video. "Just because the rest of the industry does things a certain way it doesn't mean we will do the same."

A bug report filed on the Chromium Issue Tracker inadvertently exposed Google's desktop Android interface for the first time, revealing a system codenamed "Aluminum OS" running on existing Chromebook hardware. The report, ostensibly about Chrome Incognito tabs, included screen captures from an HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 Chromebook running Android 16. The status bar has been redesigned for large screens -- taller than the tablet version, displaying time with seconds, date, battery, Wi-Fi, a notification bell, keyboard language indicator and a Gemini icon. The taskbar remains identical to the current implementation, though the mouse cursor now features a subtle tail. Chrome's interface includes an Extensions button, a feature currently exclusive to the desktop browser. Window controls mirror ChromeOS, placing minimize, fullscreen, and close buttons at the top-right.

1) aller sur https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/extensions/
2) sur Firefox mobile, afficher la page "Version ordinateur"
3) bien vous assurer que l'URL ne se termine pas en "/android" (et le retirer le cas échéant)
4) vous devriez pouvoir rechercher et installer n'importe quelle extension.

Avec sa nouvelle gamme S26, attendue d'ici fin février 2026, Samsung utilisera des écrans d'un nouveau genre avec des pixels capables de contrôler la direction de la lumière. Le résultat pourrait être révolutionnaire : seul l'utilisateur du téléphone pourrait être capable de lire les informations sensibles, comme les messages. Les autres verraient des blocs noirs.

Building on existing tools like Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, and others introduced in 2024, the newly launched updates include stronger authentication safeguards and enhanced recovery tools, the company said. [...] With the new features, users of Android devices running Android 16 or higher will have more control over the Failed Authentication Lock feature that automatically locks the device after an excessive number of failed login attempts. Now users will have access to a dedicated on/off toggle switch in the device's settings. The devices will also offer stronger protection against a thief trying to guess a device owner's PIN, pattern, or password by increasing the lockout time after failed attempts. Plus, Identity Check, a feature rolled out for Android 15 and higher last year, now covers all features and apps that use biometrics -- like banking apps or the Google Password Manager.

Continuation de l'ancien logiciel pour virer les applications indésirables de votre smartphone.
Ce qui est sympa avec cette application est qu'elle vous indique s'il est dangereux ou gênant de virer une application ou non. Par exemple l'application de Gallerie Xiaomi : C'est elle qui est en charge des captures d'écran. Si vous la déinstallez, plus de capture d'écran avec la gesture "3 doigts". Universal-Debloater-Alliance vous prévient de cela.

Installation :
1) activer le mode développeur sur le smartphone.
2) activer le débogage USB dans les menus développeur.
3) installez adb si ce n'est pas déjà fait.
4) adb devices
5) valider la popup sur le smartphone pour autoriser.
6) lancer uad-ng-linux
