During a recent L-Mount Alliance live event at the 2025 CP+ show in Japan, Kaoru Mokunaka, Chief Leica Camera Representative for Japan said the following:

There are seven member companies in the L-Mount Alliance (Leica, Panasonic, Sigma, DJI, Blackmagicdesign, SAMYANG, and ASTRO), but there are several other companies that have expressed interest in joining and are in the process of applying for membership and negotiating with them, and we will be announcing these in due course.


It seems that several more new companies will soon join the L-Mount Alliance. Here is the translated text from the second picture:

The goals of forming the L-Mount Alliance:

  1. To provide a single lens mount that is optimal for both still photography and videography.
  2. To provide great benefits to customers by having the three companies share the optimal mount in the mirrorless era.
