Zhong Yi Optics has launched the first ever 50mm f/0.95 prime lens for L mount cameras

Shen Yang, 5th June, 2021 – Zhong Yi Optics, the leading wide-aperture lenses manufacturer in China, has announced the launch of the L-mount Mitakon Speedmaster f/0.95 Lens, on top of Sony FE, Canon R, Nikon Z and Leica M mounts currently available. This is the first ever f/0.95 lens for L mount camera users in the market and the price is very much affordable. The lens is designed for full-frame mirrorless system and is compatible with Sigma FP, Panasonic S1 and S1H, Leica SL, SL2, supporting the complete line of L-mount cameras.

Excellent Control over Depth of Field

An enchanting and dreamy ambience can be created with our 50mm f/0.95 at its maximum aperture. Being one of the faster lenses in the market, shallow depth of field enables a perfect separation of main subject and background. Soft and enticing bokeh can be formed in this picture, adding additional romantic sense to the picture. 9-round iris design allows the perfect round-shape bokeh that all photographers wished.

Extraordinary Image Quality

11 elements in 8 groups optics formula of the prime lens greatly improves the image quality, bringing high definitions and contrast even at wide open aperture. The extra- low dispersion element successfully reduces the color fringing and chromatic aberrations. The color rendered is also vividly close to human eye’s capture.

Flawless Night Photography

For any low light and night environment, our ultra-wide aperture is the best match for your shooting. Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 can reproduce light source consistently over the entire frame, without the presence of spiky coma flare. The f/0.95 fast aperture also excels in night photography. Photographers can capture charming moments at night with ease with the Mitakon Speedmaster.

Premium Built

Metal with delicate workmanship enable high durability as well as excellent operability to photographers. A solid feel of precision in hand is given by an evenly scaled aperture control ring and clear markings on the lenses’ bodies.

Favourable for Videography

Videographer can take advantage of the de-clicked aperture ring for smooth transition of exposure control. Close-to-360-degree Long Focus throw allows great precision in adjustment of focus point. With a 67mm popular filter thread size, screw-in photography filters can be fit in with ease.

Pricing and availability

The new Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 for L mount is available now on our official website and other authorised resellers. The US retail price is $799.

Venus Optics announces the automatic aperture version of the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT lens

11 juin 2021 à 17:28
Par : PR admin

The previously rumored new Venus Optics lens that was announced today is the automatic aperture version of the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT lens. Here is the press release (sample photos can be found here):

Venus Optics announces the automatic aperture version of 7.5mm f/2 MFT

Anhui China, June 11, 2021 – Venus Optics, the camera lens manufacturer, who has been endeavouring to invent innovative lenses, is proud to announce Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT (auto aperture). The addition of the control chip provides metadata in EXIF and allows aperture control over the camera. With the same optical structure as the standard version of 7.5mm f/2, the lens reduces the number of aperture blades to five which renders stunning 10-points sunstars.

Ultra-wide tiny lens for MFT cameras

Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is the widest prime lens for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) in the market for the time being, with a 35mm equivalent focal length of around 15mm.

Its 110° ultra-wide angle of view and its compactness wins the heart of many MFT users. It consists of 13 elements of 9 groups optical design which delivers superior image quality. The standard version of this lens weighs only approx. 6oz (170g) and it is measured to be 55mm long. The auto aperture version is compassed to be even lighter to approx. 5.29oz (150g). With the 46mm filter thread, photographers are able to screw in a circular filter directly on the lens for extra convenience. This lens is perfect for doing photos and vlogging, landscape photography or daily use for every purpose.

Ultra-fast aperture

Ultra-wide-angle lenses equipped with fast aperture are rarely found in the market. The extra-large aperture f/2 adds more flexibility to the lens, especially under dim-lit conditions. Photographers can maintain a faster shutter speed and lower ISO to prevent generating too much unwanted noise. Moreover, it brings a shallower depth of field to separate the subject from the background. The 12cm extremely short minimum focusing distance facilitates close-up photographs which also generates creamy and smoother bokeh with f/2 aperture.

Original Optics but better functionality

Venus Optics always strives for additional features in pursuit of better functionality and convenience. With the CPU chip and motor installed, it provides photography enthusiasts a different shooting experience.
Recommended Retail Price in the US (without tax) is USD 549/pc. Pricing may vary in different countries.
The Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT – automatic aperture version is now available to pre-order on the official website of Venus Optics and their authorized resellers. Shipping starts immediately.
