A quick update on my previous post – in a cryptic message, Camerainsider, who has a good track record of reporting on upcoming products, suggested that a new Sony FX camera is coming soon. Here is a report on what to expect from the FX4 by E8M8888:

  • Positioned as a pure Cinema Line product with “Shanghai bloodline”

Private company Effissimo overtakes Sony and becomes the largest Tamron shareholder

Par : PR admin

The Singapore-based activist fund Effissimo Capital Management has quietly become Tamron’s top shareholder, surpassing longtime holder Sony Group Corporation:

According to EDINET filings and Japanese reports, Effissimo Capital Management has increased its stake to 17.38% (29,691,800 shares) as of late March 2026. Sony remains at 15.35% (25,038,000 shares, unchanged from the end of 2025). Tamron’s official IR page still shows the year-end figures, but large-shareholding reports confirm Effissimo has crossed ahead:

Shareholder Stake Shares
Effissimo Capital Management (ECM) 17.38% 29,691,800
Sony Group Corporation 15.35% 25,038,000
Master Trust Bank of Japan (trust) ~10.3%

Effissimo has steadily built its position over the past year (from ~10.8% in late 2025), filing multiple increases. Here is the recent Effissimo accumulation path (approximate, from filings):

  • ~10.76–10.87% (end of 2025)
  • 13–14% range (late 2025/early 2026)
  • 15.30% → 16.34% (March 2026 filings)
  • 17.38% (April 2026 filing)

Effissimo is a Singapore-based activist investor known for its stakes in Japanese companies such as Nissan and Toshiba. Sony’s stake has remained static at the year-end figure. Tamron executed a 4-for-1 stock split in July 2025, but the percentages above reflect the current post-split reality in recent reports.

Sony is still Tamron’s biggest shareholder at 14.8%

This is the “rumored” Viltrox camera

Par : PR admin
19 juin 2026 à 19:40

I have been very skeptical about the previously reported Viltrox camera rumors and rightfully so – here are the first leaked pictures of the Viltrox 1839 Toy Camera:

This adorable little yellow plastic toy camera features a fixed lens, a simple viewfinder, and a retro-striped design with a prominent “1839” marking and a “Vision To Xplore” tagline. Clearly, this is not the interchangeable-lens mirrorless body that has been rumored for months with wild speculations, including possible Nikon Z-mount compatibility:
